New Trends in Internet Radio

When I reflect back on where Internet Radio started and is going, I am amazed about how much has been done in such a short period of time.

Vegas All Net Radio, http://www.vegasallnetradio.com, started in Las Vegas approximately 15 years ago (give or take a year or three).

How long has the Internet itself been around? Forty years, maybe!  And yet Internet radio is probably the fastest growing media outlet that there is coupled with the video component that is YouTube, Periscope, Facebook and I am sure there are many others that exist that I am not aware of.

Podcasts have been added to the vernacular of our vocabulary.  Convenience of listening to your favorite radio shows on the Internet is now a new way to listen.  Listening to LIVE radio may not be as critical as it once was because of this “podcast” feature.

VALUE has been added to Internet radio for these reasons and many others, which you can check out one of my earliest 3-part posts here on my blog about the BENEFITS OF INTERNET RADIO.

How do we know more people are listening?  An article written in April of 2011, titled, “INTERNET RADIO GARNERS HIGHER AD RESPONSE, RECALL RATES” lays out some really good information.  Here is an excerpt:

“Response rates increase 200% when advertisers add Internet radio — defined as both online-only stations and streams of broadcast stations — to online campaigns, according to research conducted by Parks Associates for audio ad network TargetSpot.

According to the new “Internet Radio Advertising Impact Study,” “users who spend the minimal amount of time listening to Internet radio had higher ad response rates than heavy Internet-only users.”

Ad responses as defined by the report include purchasing a product online or at a retail location, searching for product information, becoming a “fan” on Facebook, or calling the advertisers.

The research also reported 350% higher ad response rates when advertisers add Internet radio to broadcast radio campaigns.”

What does this mean?  Are advertisers responding?  Here is a link to an article that reflects increased trends in the ways advertisers are now spending the dollars.  http://rss.securenetsystems.net/index.cfm?page=Growth_Charts

The MOST important chart to review is the 4th graph showing that advertising dollars on Internet Radio will SURPASS that of television advertising dollars being spent by 2017! That is right around the corner.

So what better way to get more for your money?  Take advantage of the growing trend of Internet Radio that is virtually a never ending ceiling for exposure.

We would love the opportunity to meet with you and brainstorm how hosting your own radio show or becoming an advertiser can help build your brand and position you to be “the trusted authority in the industry you represent”.
